Upgrading Qlik Sense breaks my PowerTools. Help!

Hi PowerTool users,

If you updated from Qlik Sense 2.x to 3.0 you noticed all a sudden iPortal and Governed Metrics Service stopped working. Why did this happen? Well, when Qlik Sense updates, it overwrites the services.conf file containing configuration information to run iPortal and GMS through the Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher.

To make it easier to reset the services.conf, I've added a config file to each install and a powershell script that goes in the EAPowerTools parent folder that reads the config files and sets the services.conf appropriately.

To use this capability, reinstall iPortal and GMS on your system and the files will drop. You may have to re-enter your configuration in the config screen of the installer. It's not smart enough to read current configuration...yet.
