QlikSense Desktop for contributors ?

Hello,

As a contributor, is it possible for me to use QlikSense Desktop to create app object ? My admin would not give me create app rules (and I dont need it)

Our Qlik Saas has high latency and many disconnections, thus creating sheets online takes a lot of time and efforts.

So Im wondering if my developper could send me the app so I can work in offline mode and when my sheet is done I would publish it.

Hello @Julien_OF as far as I understand from your post you want to develop apps in Qlik Sense Desktop and then upload them to SaaS platform, right? If so, yes, you can do it but then you would have to change data connection to match the source, I mean in the script log, as once you develop the app and then upload it to SaaS all the connection strings will not be valid. Another point to have in mind is that Qlik Sense Desktop and Sense SaaS is a different product inside, meaning that first you would need to try that everything you have developed in Qlik Sense Desktop is still valid in SaaS platform. I want to develop sheets offline, not apps, I am only a contributor, not developer. If I can upload them to SaaS platform its even better, otherwise I would copy/paste them online when my sheet is fully effective.

From what I found in your online support, QlikSense Desktop is the only way to do this, but if you know another way tell me.

And if I have to use Desktop, could you please tell me what I have to ask to my developper, considering he wont allow me to have rights on app, only sheet.
