Sync Local User without AD on windows

Since Qlik 3.2.2, the UDC typr of local network has been removed. However, we can sync the user by accessing to the hub.

The question is how can I sync the user group into qlik without AD.

I did tried to assign a group to user before sync into qlik, but it seems not working.

So is there any way for me to sync user and group into qlik without AD from local domain?

I am afraid this is not possible to sync groups for a local user and I do not think this will be implemented in the product.

Otherwise if you are looking for such solution outside of active directory, the only way I can think of is to build an external authentication module https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/June2019/Subsystems/PlanningQlikSenseDeployments/Content/Sense_Deployment/Server-Security-Authentication.htm

This way you could set your users and groups in an external database and sync them up into Qlik Sense.
