Hello!

These two security rules are very simple so I wouldn't expect a large difference in performance.

However it does not look like they are doing the same thing as the first rule as a second condition.

I would suggest to take a look at this STT explaining what to consider when it comes to optimizing your rules for best performance https://community.qlik.com/t5/Techspert-Thursdays/STT-Optimizing-Qlik-Sense-Enterprise-with-Rules/td-p/1677988

Hope this helps!

which security rule is more efficient from performance point of view?

Hey,
We have a large cluster in production, using Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows, version 2020 September patch 1.
To keep the performance of this large cluster, I try to select most efficient solution.

Now we need to give permission to allow users to modify dimension labels from mashup.
Below 2 rules meet our purpose. But I wonder which one is more efficient?

Rule 1:
((resource.objectType="dimension" and user.userDirectory=resource.app.stream.@Customer))

Rule 2:
((resource.objectType="dimension"))

Thank you for your advice or comment!

Best regards,
Susan
