Qlik Deployment Framework

Hi all,

I have the requirement to provide version control to Qlik Sense applications in GitLab, and I've been reading about the Qlik Deployment Framework (QDF) .

It looks like QDF can help me to not only version the scripts from my apps, but to also organize them in reusable snippets across applications, defining reusable expressions, etc.

This all sounds great. However, what about the sheets of the apps? Ideally, I would need to have a versioned set of sheets that would be considered "standard" and I would deploy in all my projects. And then custom sheets that might be a modification of a standard sheet or an entirely new one. These custom sheets would be project specific.

I've used the chrome extension Gitoqlok in the past, and I was able to version entire apps, but not individual sheets. Also, I couldn't find a way to deploy the apps in different projects, I ended up having to export the qvfs and importing them.

What is your experience with QDF? Do you have a way to version sheets on it? Do you use any other non-commercial tool?

An update: while I try to learn about other alternatives, I've been looking into how to share sheets and scripts between my applications using Gitoqlok. I've run into an issue (https://community.qlik.com/t5/Deployment-Management/Gitoqlok-Sharing-scripts-and-sheets-between-apps/m-p/1852107#M20531) but if I manage to solve it, this might be what I was looking for.
