Identifying Usernames used while installing Qlik Sense Enterprise windows

Hi All,

We have current Qlik Sense Windows Enterprise installation Nov 2020. As we know while installation we need few users like

Windows Service User, Database user and database super user.

But we have some confusion over users we used while installation (don't have usernames).

Do we have any mechanism in qlik where we store these usernames at least ? in log files, in repository database etc.

Hi @AniketVasadkar,

There are four user account requirements for Qlik Sense installation - two windows based accounts and two PostgreSQL based accounts:

Windows Qlik Sense services administrator
Windows Qlik Sense services user that is not an administrator
PostgreSQL database superuser
Qlik Sense Repository Database administrator

The Windows based accounts are stored in your AD, so you should be able to get information regarding these accounts there. There's a Qlik Fix video or resetting the PostgreSQL account password available here: Qlik Fix: How to reset postgreSQL password in Qlik Sense.

Thanks for swift reply, but my query is somewhat different. I have password with me I am confused regarding usernames.(not well documented)

Is "postgres" is a superuser username we have in Qlik as a default ?

Yeah username "postgres" is default username for the superuser account. Username "qliksenserepository" is the default username for the Qlik Sense Repository Administrator account.
