Qliksense enterprise Apps to cloud

Hi,

Does anyone know if Qlik on prem any of the apps can lift & shift to Qlik Cloud or would need to full redesign/rebuild?

How much and what kind of effort required to move on prem enterprise apps to cloud? Keeping in mind that datasources resides on-prem

Hi @jpjust , in Qlik Cloud, there is an option to upload your qvf files, even qvw files are going to visualize inmediatly.

And about datasources, yo can upload your qvds and plain files as well.

Or put your qvds and rest of files in a drop box folder, then you can connect that dropbox in your app in lik cloud

I have an on-prem datasource and my existing on-prem app has connection to it.

How can I maintain the connection for that app when I go cloud?

Do you have any good technical documentation regarding migrating qliksense app's, security rules, users, extensions, connections etc., from enterprise to cloud? Basically migrating 3 node cluster of qliksense enterprise to cloud.

Please note that there are some differences between Qlik Sense SaaS and Qlik Sense on Windows. For example, there are no security rules in SaaS.

You can use Qlik Data Gateway to connect your Qlik Clout to your on-prem Data Sources:

Both Qlik Cloud and Qlik Sense work with Qlik Sense Applications - QVF files. There will be minor changes in your Qlik Sense Application Load Script to make it compatible with one environment or the other - mostly on how you point to your Connection Libraries. In terms of UI, just watch for extensions. Some may not be compatible with Qlik Cloud.
