Task reload failed

Hi, People!

We have a problem with a task status, where the status show error, but reading the log, the same show successful scripts exit.

The great problem is the stop of task chain. You can help us ?

Version: Feb 2022 Patch 3, Qliksenseserver: 14.54.6

Hello @marciolins,

For this kind of issue you would need to cross check the script log with the Engine system logs and Engine service logs.

What are they saying at the same timestamp ?

@marciolins not sure the logs attached are the ones we would need. Could you inspect them and see if you find any error named Unknown.

I also assume the data on the apps is not updated, right?

so, the reload is executed, but the new data is not save on the binary file.

The binary file are updated, only the task status show a error message and the log generated by the error, not show any error.

And the task chain die because this.

Thanks for the update.

Could be related to a known defect, QB-9797, that should be resolved on a following patch for February 2022., but it should not lead to the task chain not been launched.

Kindly, review the incoming patches for such ID and upgrade once available and let us know the outcome.

Could you kindly share the engine logs again for further review if possible, without sharing any sensitive data.

I am concerned on this error:

This might indicate the document is indeed not saved as per the error and hence why the task is marked as failed. We would need more engine logs and @Benoit_C can provide more insights on how to find the root cause of this issue. As per our experience it could be a 3rd party software interacting with the file and leading the DocSave to fail.

So script is finished with no error, it means reload is working well. But after the reload there is another step: save the application. As @Albert_Candelario already said according to the engine log its failing to save/modify it.

So now you would need to check what could be the reason of this situation.

Most of the time it's because of the antivirus, because the exclusion aren't respected, see the below article about the exclusion:

If they aren't correct: after modify the exception you will need to restart all the Qlik Sense servers.

If you believe exception are correct, then you would need to troubleshoot the issue with some special logs level and with a third party tool (Procemon).

We continue with the same problem with Feb/22 Version, Upgrade to May/22 can help us ?

So, the problem it's often the big apps, QVF with +12gb in disc.

May 2022 Patch 1 and Feb 2022 Patch 4 might help to mitigate the issue, but if the issue is coming from another processes scanning such files. We definitely need you to go via the steps mentioned on (1) How to troubleshoot the AppSerializer: SaveApp cau... - Qlik Community - 1930186
