Hi Qlik community,

I am an analyst developer at Pariveda Solutions and we use Qlik sense enterprise on a virtual machine right now.

As for our data entry, we mainly use the load script to bash data from SQLServer DataWarehouse in Qlik.

After some analysis of the situation our goal for the end of 2022 is to migrate from our current solution to Cloud Saas.

(* For security reasons we do not want to connect our future Qlik cloud environment directly to our SQL servers, Port 1433 for TCP is needed to connect to the SQL database instance. )

As of today, what are the main solutions and alternatives we could use to migrate to QLik cloud ?

Have a great day,

My question would be, what are our alternatives regarding the data sources from our situation

You can use Qlik Data Transfer to port data from your SQL server to Qlik Cloud. Then the connection to SQL is done from the on prem machine holding the QDT service.

QDT is available without any extra charge for Qlik Cloud customer.

See this url for more details about the product. https://www.qlik.com/us/products/qlik-data-transfer

Hi Vegar,

Thank you for your answer !

About QDT, I understand that we would use this product to generate the QVF / QVD files and push them into our new Saas environment.

My question would be, do we have access to a load script through QDT (or an equivalent), we use this tool a lot to push our SQL data right now in Qliksense ?

Thank you
