Hi! I just tried to install QlikSense Server 1.0 GA on a Win2008R2 VMWare. I can go through the setup-steps (tried both: Quick and Custom Installation), but when the setup starts to install files the setup does stop+rollback. Logfile shows some issue with PostgreSQL. See below. Has anyone expierenced similar issues?

Hi Roland,

is this a fresh VM or was there any QlikView / Qlik Sense install before? Never seen an issue before with the Postgre install.

I would suggest to fill a case through the portal so we can investigate this issue direct.

And it is, of course, a good idea to check that you have the necissary certifiactes installed as well. See attachement!

Not really a requirement I think, but I read somewhere that you could get this error if you did not have connection to internet while installing Postgre, so if would be interesting to know if this actually is the problem!

Hi Roland,

You're missing some root certificates required to validate the MSI-files included in the installation package.

PostgreSQL.msi is digitally signed using Verisign Class 3 Code Signing 2010 CA with a counter signer GloalSign Timestamping CA - G2.

Both these must be trusted, so make sure you have GlobaSign Root CA and Verisign Class 3 root certificates in your certificate store.

Hi!

wow, all my old support guys in a single thread! great

- I created a new clone from a fresh win2008r2 vmware

- I connected the vmware to the internet (so the qvsense setup downloaded .NET 4.0 automatically this time)

--> in the first place the setup failed again with a different error message (some access issue to the .msi package)

Then I realized that UAC (User Access Control) was still active on the machine.

After turning UAC off, the qliksense setup worked fine. So I assume this was the reason for my original issues as well.

Unfortunately we haven't got our partner license yet, even we have requested it at release date; @Sonja that's the reason why I haven't opened a support tickte on this!
