Cannot see users created with Excel ODBC Connection

* I set up an Excel qLIKUsers.xlsx
* put it on the Qlik machine
* created a connector
* that says it works
* but users do not show up

Sync user data for existing users. Toggling that option only synchronized attributes for users who have already been created in Qlik Sense Enterprise Client Managed (i.e. via logging in).

If the users do not exist in Qlik Sense Enterprise Client Managed and you want to "create"[*] them, then uncheck the Sync user data for existing users option on the UDC.

[*]: Create is in quotes because Qlik Sense isn't managing the user in any real sense. It merely maintains a list from a user metadata repository (e.g. LDAP, ODBC, etc).

User Directory Connectors only fetch user metadata. They do not "create" users. They do not authenticate users. In order to log-in with your Excel users, you would need to use a supported authentication mechanism (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_DeployAdminister/QSEoW/Deploy_QSEoW/Server-Security-Authentication-Solutions.htm) to authenticate as that user. What are you trying to achieve?

ok, so i created a user on windows and used the sync to get this to qlik.

Now I see something, but cannot do anything

how can I allow this user to

create apps?

see datamodels?

Did you assign a Professional or Analyzer license to such user?
