Server hostname with domain change together

Dear All,

We have and requirement to change the hostname with its existing domain as well.

I have gone through the below helpful post which given clear explanation of doing these steps but I found they are separate activity means if someone need to change only either hostname or only change the existing domain.

In our case, i mentioned above we have requirement to change both hostname of the existing server as well as domain of the same server at a time.

Should I do first steps in Post A and then all the steps in Post B?

Or how ?

Hi faizan, The are mostly the same. I would suggest starting with B. But as always never make any updates or changes with out have a recovery process.
