Installing Qlik Sense Server Error

Hi All,

I've installed Qlik Sense x64 onto our Windows Server 2008 64-bit and it says installed successfully, however when I try to open the Management Console or Hub I get the following error message in Google Chrome:

Also tried in internet explorer.

Any help appreciated (I don't usually do the installs).

Have you checked to see if the services are all running? Sometimes they take a little bit to get going (or need some help).

Hi Dean,

The most likely problem is a firewall or other networking issue. Try accessing the QMC from the host machine using the ip address. Assuming you can successfully connect this will confirm the issue is networking related (e.g. a firewall or something similar).

I´ve the same issue.

I installed on Windows server 2008 and 2012 without firewall, active directory and all services available. When I access QMC appear the same error.

I installed with custom installation and setting user name only.

I believe that exists a error on installation package.

1- Make sure that the Qlik Sense Repository Database service is running under "Local System".

2- Have you restarted the machine? Have you restarted the services?

3- Try to recreate Digital certificates:

Stop Qlik Sense Repository Service (this will also stop the other services)
Open Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Important: Run this as the account configured to run the services (Run as... )
Add snap-in for Certificates: My user account and Local Computer account
In Certificates - Current User > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates, delete the certificate created by QlikSense, issued by your computer, computer.domain-CA
In Certificates > Current User > Personal > Certificates, delete the certificate named QlikClient
In Certificates (Local Computer) > Personal > Certificates, delete the certificate issued by computer.domain-CA.
Start Qlik Sense Repository Service and verify it created the new certificates
Start the rest of the services

4- Make sure that Firewall are off.

Specify in your browser address of the server that should be available on line, not through a proxy server

Does you certificate name match your machine full qualify name?

Yeah it appears so in the Personal and Trusted folders e.g.

qliktest1.xxxxxx.co.uk-CA

In that case, if you have a Qlik support agreement for Qlik Sense, I would open a support ticket for further help.

Make sure that ports are open, here the default one that Qlik Sense needs:

I made the same tests removing certificates and the problem persist. All services is running ok and firewall is disabled.

Need I open a case in Partner Portal?

If it´s necessary, I´ve a test enviroment to simulate all installation process or only the problem.

After installing it, did you reboot the machine? Also, when you do a netstat -ano do you see the following ports open:

so you are confirming that by doing a netstat -ano all the ports listed on the link I provided are been held by a process "4" or a Qlik process related? or just assuming because you just disable the firewall?
