Qlik Sense 1.1 setup "AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED”

Hi!

I need urgent help.

I’m trying to install Sense 1.1 on a customer server (2012 R2) and run into the message “AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED” during the installation. I made same installation on another customer server and on the internal server yesterday without any problem.

Have anyone any idea why this environment give me the error. Where should I start searching for errors?

It looks like the error came when the PostgreSQL db is installed.

Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package.

error 80070643 can happen for several reasons. The most common cause is a problem with the .NET Framework installed on the computer.

try reinstall or repear your .NET Framework

Thx for you respond Alexander! This didn't help.

We have continue this issue today together with Qlik support (very good support). We desire to re-install the hole 2012 R2 server next week because we found a lot of strange thing on this one.

Faced with same problem on RU version Windows 2012 (2008).

instalation failed with same error. Tested on 2.0.5, 2.0.4, 2.0.3.

My resolution.

1. Create user with admin rigths and english name for example 'admin'.

2. when instalation ask you user for Qlik sense services set you 'admin' user credential.

That is all.
