Security rules - Data connection restriction

Hello all,

I'm actually facing an issue with Security rules and Data connection.

I want that users (all) can reload a published app (with 1 data connection) but can't use this data connection when they create a new app.

I tried many things but without any success...

Are data connections Folder or Database type?

Data connections are folder.

But we can change to a database if needed.

Hi @brenouf

By default, folder connections are available for all developer users, to reaload an App, only developer users can reload with buttom.

If it's not showing for other users, maybe this security rule was modified ou disabled.

Thanks for the reply.
For my project, I need that all users are developer (to reload the app) but I want that users can use the data only in the app they need to reload.
Not when they create a new app.

The data co must only be available in 1 app.

It seems a bit complicated.

Another option maybe?

Hi @brenouf ,

In this case, you have a big challenge:

1 - Disable the Security Rule of Data Connections

2 - Create a custom Property for Data Connections

3 - Create a Security Rule - Only the users have the custom property equals data connection custom property

Don't do it alone,

Don't remove Security Rules, Disable it,
