Can't Connect to Postgre After Upgrading to QS Nov 2025

I’m having trouble connecting to a PostgreSQL database after upgrading Qlik Sense to the November 2025 release. I’m using the built-in PostgreSQL connector.

The error:

Please check the values for Username‚ Password‚ Host and other properties. Description: Specified driver could not be loaded

When I try to create a new connection:

ERROR [08S01] [Qlik][PostgreSQL] (10) Error occurred while trying to connect: [SQLState 08S01] connection to server at "x.x.x.x", port 5432 failed: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?

Hi @KHSDM

Did you change anything else in the system or did you just upgrade?

1. Could you repair Qlik Sense? This will resolve the issue if it is due to some corruption in the files occurred during the upgrade.

2. In case you use SSL encryption, notice that the Qlik Sense installer cannot use SSL encryption to connect to PostgreSQL. Temporarily disable SSL during installation or upgrade or Qlik Sense relair process.

Managed to fix the issue after updating the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages to the latest version as mentioned in this article:
