I am trying to re-install Qlik Sense windows enterprise on a Windows Server 2019 after some other users on the servers upgraded the postgres to version 18.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I decided to carry out a fresh installation by uninstalling postgres 18, the Qlik Sense windows enterprise May 2024 and deleted any folder related to Qlik Sense and restarting the server as well, but encountering errors for a fresh installation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please could you point me what I might be missing that may cause the failure?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have attached the log files for the setup failure encountered.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looking forward to any pointers or direction.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ayodele&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;We took a look and found what looks to be the first error in the chain, which points at a problem connecting to the database. That may indicate that you are using the wrong port or the new DB you have installed for your fresh install may have applied settings from the previously installed Postgre 18 install (leading to the wrong port, etc).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Look into the DB as the root cause.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you are unable to find a solution, please log a case with us.&lt;/P&gt;

I am assuming that process of installing postgres 18 wasn't fully done. There is a whole procedure off uninstalling previous versions and services and making sure that all those steps were done would be critical. If it wasn't done it is possible that despite uninstalling postgres 18 there are still binaries of postgres 12 or 14 or other (depending on how old your server was) and not clearing everything out will lead to errors like yours.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/Upgrading-and-unbundling-the-Qlik-Sense-Repository-Database/ta-p/1934238" target="_blank"&gt;https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/Upgrading-and-unbundling-the-Qlik-Sense-Repository-Database/ta-p/1934238&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know this is not direct solution to your problem but make sure you dont have any old postgres leftovers by checking steps from that link.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;cheers&lt;/P&gt;</description>
