about reloading

Hi fellow Qlikers,

New member here... Be kind....

How can I:

1. force a data reload as a qwf document is opened in Sense desktop dashboard ?

2. put a button in the dashboard that will execute the data reload?

I want to avoid having business users open the Load Data Editor

Hi George,

This is an intentional limitation of the Qlik Sense Desktop. If you upgrade to the full Qlik Sense product then you can schedule reloads and drive reloads of external actions (e.g. database update etc.). Business users would log into to a web browser to access Qlik Sense and the data would update automatically in the background. If you'd like to try out the online experience you can either upload your app to Qlik Cloud (www.qlikcloud.com) or take a look at the Qlik Sense Demo site (Qlik Demos: See Qlik Sense in Action | Sense-Demo.Qlik.Com). You can't reload on either of course but they will give you an idea of what the online experience is like (don't forget to give a try with a phone or tablet as well).

So the only way to reload is to open the doc, then enter the Data Load Editor and run "Load" to re-execute the script?
