      <title>Qlik Sense Desktop: No response from server while creating an app</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am facing an issue with Qlik Sense Desktop (v 2.0.1), which is unable to creat a new app.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It goes like this:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When I try to create an app, I get a prompt and can give the app a name&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;It tries for some time (a minute or so) to create the app&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.23.52.png" class="jive-image image-1" src="/legacyfs/online/91762_Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.23.52.png" style="height: auto;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I get an error message (No response from server)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.37.31.png" class="jive-image image-2" src="/legacyfs/online/91790_Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.37.31.png" style="height: auto;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The thumbnail has been created in the hub, but clicking on it won't open anything.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.37.40.png" class="jive-image image-3" src="/legacyfs/online/91791_Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.37.40.png" style="height: 222px; width: 620px;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.37.55.png" class="image-4 jive-image" src="/legacyfs/online/91792_Screen Shot 2015-07-03 at 11.37.55.png" style="height: auto;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I checked, and there is no .qvf file in the folder in My Documents.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anybody has faced this as well?       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Jerome,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This sounds like some sort of security issue. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are you able to confirm that Sense was installed using an administrator account and that local firewall settings have been configured.&amp;nbsp; If you have Windows firewall turned on you should be prompted the first time you use Sense to approve Sense to work. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For reference, the firewall rule allows open access for the following file on the local machine:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;c:\users\&amp;lt;username&amp;gt;\appdata\local\programs\qlik\sense\qliksense.exe&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kind regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rod&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Yes I can confirm that I used my local admin account to install Sense, and I have tried opening ports, and even turning the firewall off, still not working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Visibly the upgrade from v1 to v2 has broken something...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
