Dear sir,

We are trying to use Qlik SAML integration with client ADFS. We went through the below videos by Jeffrey Goldberg. We are not getting any error from ADFS and SAML authentication is successful but it seems Qlik is unable to interpret User ID coming in SAML tags.

We have provided upn as SAML attribute for user ID and Group as optional attribute. We have exchanged the metadata. In ADFS side also, there are two attributes – upn and Group as exactly defined in the videos by Jeffrey Goldberg.

Contents for this series. Click on the link to jump to a specific part.

Part One: Install ADFS on a Windows Server. You are here.

Part Two: Configure Qlik Sense SAML Virtual Proxy for ADFS.

Part Three: Configure Active Directory Federation Server.

When we check the trace logs, we get -

The error is –

SAML mandatory attribute for User ID is missing.
