Qlik Sense setup - Environment Error

I am trying to install Qlik Sense server on my laptop where I have Qlik Sense desktop and QlikView desktop installed. I used to have QlikView server installed as well but removed it to make way for the Qlik Sense server as the 2 "servers" cannot co-habit.

During the installation I get the message -

QLIK SENSE SETUP 2.2.3.0 - ENVIRONMENT ERROR

An unsupported version of Qlik Sense has been detected. The setup has been interrupted. For more detail see the log file.

I looked at the log file and the following 3 entries looked suspect so I have uninstalled the QlikView plugin but the installation process still stops with the same message and entries - I see in the system registry that there are still references to the "plugin" - I am desperate to install the server so any help would be appreciated - I attach the log file as well for your perusal.

Hi Alexis,

You cannot use Qlik Sense Server and Qlik Sense Desktop on the same computer.

Uninstall QlikSense, backup of your applications and import after.

Thanks for responding.

I have just removed Qlik Sense desktop and I am getting the same error message as before - please note my comments regarding Qlikview Plugin and my screen shot above.

Did you try install with other administrator user and deleting all Qlik* directories?

Are you saying that all I need to do is remove the single entry:

'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E61ED3DB-432C-4961-8B3D-0784C31E3914}'

In my registry I see the following - is this what I need to remove?

Hello Alexis,

You should first uninstall the qlikview plugin from the software list on your server it you still have it on the list.

After that, if this entry is still there, you can remove it manually :

'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E61ED3DB-432C-4961-8B3D-0784C31E3914}'

Then you can install QS.

You can install the plugin again if you need it.

I have uninstalled the Plugin some time ago but I don't see the SPECIFIC key that you mention.

Adding my two cents here... In my case, I've just uninstalled QS Desktop and QV plugins and restarted the computer (Restart is important or else it didn't work).

Then I was able to install QS Server.
