Locate the QS Desktop installation, it's normally something like C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense. You can perhaps find the location by right clicking on your QS Desktop icon and choose "Open File Location".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. In that folder, open the file "services.conf" for editing&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. In the top of the file you should see a section [globals] where it says LogPath="${HOMEDRIVE}${HOMEPATH}\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Log"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. In your case it looks like this resolves to "H:\Documents\QlikSense\Log" and I suspect you don't have write access in that folder. Try to change this path to a path where you know you have write access. I would hard set it to where you found the Qlik Sense Engine logs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5. Restart your Qlik Sense Desktop and hope for the best.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please let us know if this resolved your issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Qlik Sense Desktop 3.0 installation failure!!</title>

It seems everything is OK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG __jive_id="129481" alt="" class="jive-image image-1" height="201" src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/129481_pastedImage_0.png" style="width: 202.936px; height: 201px;" width="203" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But when I opened the hub, it appears nothing as below:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG __jive_id="129491" alt="" class="jive-image image-2" height="151" src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/129491_pastedImage_1.png" style="width: 333px; height: 151.461px;" width="333" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried to repair the installation, failed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have uninstalled the Qlik Sense Desktop and re-installed it, failed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;How shall I fix this issue? So far the only thing I can do is to roll back to 2.2.4.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Background information:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OS: WIN7&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Username: Junlong Chen&lt;SPAN style="color: #0000ff;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;(There is a blank between two words, and somebody said the issues is caused by the blank. Shut down Qlik Sense&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; b. Go into Task Manager and ensure no Qlik processes are running.&amp;nbsp; If so, shut them down.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; c. Launch your main web browser (ie Chrome) and clear out the cache&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; d. Launch Qlik Sense and see if the HUB loads.&amp;nbsp; If not, hit the F5 button.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; If the above doesn't work and it returns the same blank HUB window, shut down Qlik Sense, turn off Windows Defender or Microsoft Security Essentials.&amp;nbsp; It may be an issue that is allowing the main Sense environment launch and is trusted but sub processes may be blocked.&amp;nbsp; Try again.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;3.&amp;nbsp; If the above still results in a blank Hub, shut down Qlik Sense, turn off the firewall and try again.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;4.&amp;nbsp; With Windows Defender/MSE shutdown as well as Virus scanners, go to &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; a. &lt;SPAN style="font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"&gt;Go into Task Manager and ensure no Qlik processes are running.&amp;nbsp; If so, shut them down.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 13.3333px; font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; b. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Add/Remove Programs to uninstall product, manually clean up install files (everything) under C:\Users\&amp;lt;your user profile&amp;gt;\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense and reinstall&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: calibri, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"&gt;Could you flag this post as either helpful or resolved if the above assisted with a resolution and, in either even of resolved or not, could you share the results of these tests?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

It doesn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;According to security policy of my company, I can not turn off any defenders. So I can not achieve the following procedures.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the blank screen in QS desktop, I can right click to show DevTool. The error message show up:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="" class="jive-image image-1" height="125" src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/129637_pastedImage_0.png" style="width: 513px; height: 124.94px;" width="513" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't know whether it matters or not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Meanwhile, I upgrade the QS desktop in my personal laptop. It works fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So my suspension is that something in QS desktop is against the security policy or defender.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this issue can be solved ASAP.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Anders,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a very similar problem, and the latest version has had no effect:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="Qlik Sense 3.0 Installation Error.png" class="jive-image image-1" height="246" src="/legacyfs/online/129838_Qlik Sense 3.0 Installation Error.png" style="height: 246.452px; width: 382px;" width="382" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried all the steps above both on 28/6 and today. Could you please share some more information on what OS you are running in and if you did a fresh install or upgraded from previous version.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also if you would be able attach logs that would be great!       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Anders,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for getting back to me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am running Windows 7, and I have tried both upgrade and fresh installation options.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I’ve uninstalled and re-run the application so many times now I’m not sure which log files are which. Hopefully the 3 attached can give you some sort of clue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rgds&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dominic&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
