How could the anonymous user export data from integrated sense web page?

Hi all,

I have set up a sense server with anonymous mode. Now anonymous users can access hub and Apps in "everyone stream".

My question is how could I eport the data from sheets. I think it may be in security rules...., but i can't find the sulution till now.

Any one can help me about this? thanks.

Hi Zhou,

Go to QMC => Security rules , select ExportAppData security rules and disable it. Anonymous user would export the data.

hi,

I try to disable the security rules or delete it directly. It doesn't work.

I get the error : export failed. access denied.

Anything I am missing?

Hi Zhou,

Please never delete default rules . Just disable it secondo tell me when you enable allow anonymously user in qmc virtual proxy after that how you are login in , I mean what you are writing in user name and password , please don't write passwoed just give me a hint so I will make a Sam's user and try at my end

hi,

I selected "Always anonymous user" in Anonymous access mode. After that I can login hub directly without input username/password when enter the url hostname/hub.

And the one more question, how to get the default secutity rules back? I mean I have deleted the default rule. Can I restore them instead of reinstall sense server? Does qlik has any backup/restore or export/import rules function?

Sorry I complicate the problem.

Hi Zhou,

Apologies , Lately I donot have access on sever by which I can do some R&D on this , what I can suggest, Its all the matter of security rules, The one you disabled or deleted that one is the main reason or you need to create new one where you allow read access to anonymous user. Yes I never created such type of rule for anonymous as per same manner you granted access to them.

Whether I recreate a security rule or reinstall sense Server? which is better? I have tried to recreate a security rule, but I can't find the default settings. Can I recreate default rule? Could you please tell me the settings about the default one? Thankyou☺

Hi Zhou,

First of all Never Ever change or delete any default rule . If you did that , please re-install the Qlik Sense Server.

Secondly, By default every user has full rights , Anyone create security rule because to restrict any user for some permissions.

Lets talk about By Default rule Stream : The user should see the resource if he/she has read access to the stream it is published to.

Now when you have a use case where there are 5 apps in one stream and two users. Now you want to restrict first user to first 3 apps so you need to disable By default security rule Stream . This is its funda,whenever you have any use case please go to by default rule look what rules says and do you need to disable it if yes what you need to create it .

Hi Rohit,

I have reinstalled the sense server, selected "Always anonymous user" in Anonymous access mode. And disable the securty rule "ExportData". When I visit the hub, open an app and visit the sheet, I can load the menu "Export data" by right click the chart. But after that the "export failed. access denied" error appears again.

Should I give more information about my settings? Or some log? What should I do next?
