Can Qlik Sense Desktop port 4848 be changed to another port?

Qlik Sense Desktop never asks during installation but uses port 4848 (http://localhost:4848/hub)-

There are rare cases where some prospects use a setup with this port already in use and where it would be very helpful, if this default port 4848 can be overwritten with something different, say in SETTINGS.INI ?

I am interested in this answer since my organization uses this port (4848) for other pourposes so I need to change it.

Does anyone has the solution?

Hi Christof,

You need to change the port number in two file locations.

Firstly, in the Services.conf file located in C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense

Third line down is the BrokerPort which will be set as 4848

Second location is the config.js file located in C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense\HubService

(Right click and select edit)

Change the config.enginePort which is set as 4848 by default.

Save files and open Sense Desktop. You should now be able to access via the browser over the new port.
