Qlik Sense 3.1.4 Server Installation

Hi guys,

I have installed on Qlik Sense 3.1.4 server on my server.

during the installation, I noticed, it allows us to specify the installation location. So instead of locating it at C:\, i put it at D:\.

After finished the installation. i am confused. I found that there is a qlik folder at - c:\programdata\Qlik

and i also can see another Qlik folder in my 😧 Drive, which I have identified during the installation.

I dont understand. I thought can install everything on D:\ and leave nothing on C:\.

My main point here is i want to put all qvds and all app files in to D:\ because c:\ is a OS drive and has limited space.

Can anyone explain to me ?

I also noticed the same.

More over I am trying to install on Win 2012R2-64bit+latest patches from microsoft, and not able to see default applications License and Monitoring app after default installation.

Are you able to view those apps?

Hi Nitin,

I have gave up on IE to open Qlik Sense QMC or Sense Hub.

From my experience, i have used Chrome Browser. And with Chrome, i can access to the sense hub, open app, and also QMC.

But, please make sure u r using Qlik Sense 3.1.4 sr 4 , instead of 3.1.3

Hi Jim,

I am new to Qlik Sense, I am also searching for answer on how to move ProgramData folder to 😧 drive.

It will be difficult for me to ask users to use Chrome for Qlik and IE for other applications.

Hi Nithin,

But i realyl have no issue opening sense hub, qmc, or the app using chrome browser.

I think . you will need to log a case to qlik support.

But, i still want to know why cant install everything to 1 path destination.
