Have to change Machine Name after Qlik Sense installation

Hi All,

One of my customer have changed the Hostname and IP address of Qlik Sense Server.

We have taken a backup of all log files before changing. initially they conveyed that only IP address will changed, but now they have changed Hostname too.

So now Qlik Sense Hub and QMC are not working. This is because of hostname change. I think so.

Is it possible to change hostname in Qlik Sense configuration without unistallation?

please advise.

Change the hostname in the Host.cfg file located in <drive>:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense

Hi,

If you want to avoit that kind of problem in the future, you should create an alias DNS for your server.

Then during the install, change the automatic proposed name server with the alias DNS. Next time you migrate or change the server name you won't have any problem with this (wich are for the most part certificates issues).
