Mashup with multiple Apps sharing filters across Apps

I pulled together a simple mashup that consumes two different Apps each having a field named the same: for this example lets say the field is Year.

How do i get the Year filter in App #2 to select when i pick the Year filter in App #1?

Seems simple but can't get it to select across Apps

hi,

this you can do by using qlik api

solution:

1) get selection of that field using api

2) use app.field.setvalues to set the values (from point 1) to field

3) for that session automatically selections will be applied
