ODAG Qlik Application Automation in Qlik Sense SaaS

Hope you all are well and hearty.

I am trying to achiveve: ODAG Qlik Application Automation in Qlik Sense SaaS -

1. Based on the Date selected in a Qlik dashboard

2. Automatically trigger an ODAG (On-Demand App Generation) when click on the Button

by saving the 3 extra clicks for the User. Is it even possible using Automations in Qlik Sense SaaS. The Lookup thingy is taking time of the century to run and load.

So, was checking if it is possible via API. If yes, any link or material for the developement. If no, then why not, some concrete reason to provide to Employer to?

I would really appreciate some guidance here.

The ODAG APIs are private and unpublished - and may change at any time without notice. We hope to evolve these into published APIs but we have no dates for this improvement at this time.

What you could do, if you're only selecting a few values, is have the button duplicate an app template, reload it with a provided variable (using this recent improvement), then provide the link to the requesting user (via an email notification or something like that). That uses published APIs and is supported using the Qlik Cloud Services connector.

Appreciate your response Dave. We are checking if we can use NPrinting oe QLik Reporting Services or Excel Add-Ins to achieve it.
