Modal Popup on a Field or Dimension

I have a mashup with Qlik Objects and I am using Modal Popup to show Details and it works fine. Now the question is there a way to setup Modal popup on a field instead of entire object. Meaning instead of Opening the Popup on clicking on anywhere on the chart I want it to popup only when I click on a Name Field.

Appreciate any suggestions.

What kind of chart is it? If you want the modal to open when you click on a HTML element that's possible.

It's a table with five columns. currently Modal is opening up by clicking any where on the chart but I want it to open up when they click on Particular Column.

Well add the onclick handler to the html element ( or elements) for the column then.
