Qliksense Enterprise version + ODBC connection

i am trying to connect to MYSQL database using MYSQL ODBC Driver.

MySQL ODBC driver is installed on server.

I have created USER-DSN in DATA SOURCE(ODBC) and connection is successful.

but when i select ODBC connection from QLIKSENSE while adding data, i am not able to view the connection.

whereas,

when i created SYSTEM-DSN in DATA SOURCE(ODBC) and connection is successful.

and now i can view this connection from qliksense while adding data.

QUESTION : Why am i not able to view connction in USER-DSN?????

I don't know why. But it does need to be a System DSN.

A USER DSN is only accessible to the user who created the DSN. Did you create the DSN while logged in on the system account used by the QlikSense server?

yes USER-DSN is created by same user account as that of qliksense server user account..

Perhaps a user DSN does not work for a service (much like mapped drives do not work with a service). So you will need a system DSN as mentioned earlier.
