Inserting data from Qlik Sense dashboard to data model

Hey there!

I am willing to create a button within a Qlik Sense dashboard that is able to insert data from the dashboard into the data model.

This feature exists in QlikView, e.g. QV's input field.

Is there an extension or any workaround that can insert data into the data model from within a Qlik Sense dashboard?

PS: this needs to happen without accessing the script

Sorry, but no can do.

The only way to get data into the data model tables is to reload via the script.

Hi,

No you can't simply add data to the data model in the app, you have to save it somewhere else, like in a database. You will then have to reload the app to get the data into the app

Another option is to use an analytical connection Analytic connections ‒ Qlik Sense Developers

to get the data. Then you do not have to reload the app.

Is there a way to take that data from a sheet and insert into a different table (not currently in the data model)?
