Custom objects disabled/greyed out in Qlik Sense Enterprise

Hi all,

For no apparent reason, on our Qlik Sense September 2018 SR1, the option Custom objects in the editor became unavailable.

This doesn't appear to have occurred immediately after upgrading QS or importing an extension.

The user in this case is a RootAdmin with full control over all extensions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a glitch. Have you tried restarting services/QlikSense desktop?

Are you able to see your extensions in dev-hub or QMC?
You should also probably check the security rule for the Extension resource (see below)

Thanks for the suggestion, I've restarted both the services and ultimately the server, but the issue persists.

Yes, I can see and manage all extensions in QMC and DevHub.

I'm a RootAdmin on this system and the default Extension security rule you're mentioning is enabled. No further security rules regarding extensions are active according to the the security audit.

Looks like a bug - can you check the developer console, for any errors in chrome when you open Qlik Sense Client - and please tell us which version of Qlik Sense you are using

Great tip checking the developer console, thank you @Aiham_Azmeh.

As you can see, the problem in this case appears to be in one particular extension, senseui-widgetlibrary. This was installed months ago and worked just fine until now.

Once I deleted this extension however, the custom objects button became enabled again.

We are using Qlik Sense September 2018 Patch 1 (qliksenseserver: 12.36.3)
