Picasso charts versus Qlik standard charts

Hi everyone,

Having spent a bit of time looking at Picasso.js and comparing the functionality with the standard Qlik charts, I wonder why Qlik has not replaced its set of charts with the Picasso versions. The Picasso charts are much more customisable (change the width of lines, interval size between bars, opacity, etc., etc. ) and Picasso allows multiple layers to be used in a single chart. This all makes the Qlik charts seem very limited. Does anyone know whether Qlik plans to overhaul their charts?

Hi,

Qlik is indeed using picasso.js for all of its newer charts:

Distribution plot
Box plot
Histogram
Waterfall

We do plan to convert the older charts to use picasso.js and have already done so with the pie chart.

Good to know. Do you have any planned dates for the conversion of the older charts?
