What are System Notifications For?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with System Notifications feature that is available on Qlik Sense Client-Managed server. What were System Notifications designed for?

Originally, I thought they can be used to automatically send out notifications to users of an app letting them know when an app finishes reloading and new data is available, but that doesn't seem like that's the case. I thought maybe it could be used to automatically distribute notifications to admins letting them know when app reload failed but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

System notifications don't seem to have triggers which makes me think that they have to be triggered manually.

If system notification are not tied to app tasks or data within apps, and based on the name (system notification), I'm guessing this functionality was designed to solve some sort of need to manually distribute some system related messages, but I can't think of a good example for that.

Is anyone using System Notifications feature? If so, how? What are some good use cases for it?

I am also looking into the same thing at the moment. From what I have learned, System notifications let you create and send notifications to the Qlik Sense Mobile Client Managed app on a mobile device. Take a look at Qlik Alerting (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/alerting/July2023/Content/QlikAlerting/Home.htm). It sounds great but I think it has additional cost involved though 😕
