&lt;LI&gt;The Computer Browser service is not enabled&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;A firewall is configured without an exception for the Computer Browser Service&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;NetBIOS over TCP/IP is not enabled on the machine&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;If no master browser server is configured on the network&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;If broadcast traffic is disabled on the network&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;H3 class="qlik-migrated-tkb-headings"&gt;Resolution:&lt;/H3&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Choose&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: Courier New,Courier,monospace;"&gt;I want to specify the account to be used for the services later&lt;/SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;to prevent the possible root causes from affecting the installation.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Manually add the desired Service Account to the&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: Courier New,Courier,monospace;"&gt;QlikView Administrators&lt;/SPAN&gt; group created by the install.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Input the Username and Password in the Windows Service Console after the installation.&amp;nbsp; (Note: if you put the Service Account and Password in the dialog and then check the &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: Courier New,Courier,monospace;"&gt;I want to specify the account to be used for the services later&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;, the Service Account and Password will be populated for you in the Services Applet.)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Ensure the Service Account gets the Logon as a Service right in the Local Security Policies. (Note: When you set things in the Services Applet, this should occur automatically.)&lt;/LI&gt;
