article Why does the Gold Client dashboard appear different in Production compared to other systems? in Official Support Articles

This result occurs because of how the Gold Client license is installed. The Gold Client programs know which system is production and as such, the various import, delete, and post-processing functions are not permitted and thus will not appear in the Gold Client dashboard. Production will always be considered an export-only (read-only) system and so not only do these buttons not appear in the Gold Client dashboard but the programs themselves are disabled.

The Gold Client dashboard should appear the same in all non-Prod systems and with all buttons being visible, although some buttons may be suppressed (not available for selection) based on the user's authorizations.
