    <description>&lt;P&gt;Reload in QlikView or Qlik Sense failed with the error:&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family: Courier New,Courier,monospace;"&gt;[Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] Protocol error in TDS stream&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The error also occurs if the same SQL query is executed from another application (for example Microsoft Excel) with the same database drivers and user credentials.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;H4&gt;Environment:&lt;/H4&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is not a Qlik software problem, but rather a communication (protocol) issues between the ODBC driver and the database.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Commonly the issue is caused by issues with the database driver used by the ODBC connection or by the network card drivers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;H3 class="qlik-migrated-tkb-headings"&gt;Resolution:&lt;/H3&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;There are three possible actions to take in order to address the issue:&lt;/DIV&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Update ODBC driver to a later version&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Update network card driver to a later version&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Switch from ODBC connection to OLEDB connection&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;DIV&gt;If this does not help resolve the issue, please consult the database driver provider for more details on how to address the issue.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
