What Is the Service Account For Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows?

The user that runs the Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows services is commonly referred to as the Qlik Sense Enterprise service account. The user is defined as the "Log On As" user in Windows service settings.

In a multi-node deployment it is recommended to use the same domain user for all Qlik Sense services on all nodes the same deployment.
NOTE: Qlik Sense Repository Database service is an exception, and is expected to always run as Local System.

Confirm the current Qlik Sense Enterprise service account;

Login to Windows Server on Qlik Sense node
Open Services manager in Windows
Sort by Name column
Scroll down to show all Qlik Sense related processes in the window
Confirm that all services except Qlik Sense Repository Database runs with the same "Log On As" user
Repeat above steps on all nodes in the same Qlik Sense site to confirm that the same user is applied

Does it mean that the same domain user is recommended to use across environments such as Staging/Production?

If your Staging and Production environment are one environment (meaning you have nodes defined as staging/dev and nodes defined for production), then, yes. The services have to communicate with each other.

If, however, your Staging and Production are two separate environments (meaning they are independent from each other, using their own licenses, database, share, and so on), then, no. The services will not have to communicate with each other.

In the new versions (May 2024) there is not "Qlik Sense Repository Database", we setting on all nods a local account for each service (which is an administrator and resolution of the launch as a service, added in "Qlik Sense Service Users") But we have a problem, sometimes connectors disappear, apparently, when the session is redirected to the RIM node, tell me why?

If you put a local service on all nodes, connectors are visible, but the problem with files in folders.

If you have unbundled the database, you will see a service called postgresql-x64-14 instead. Do not rename or change this service.

Treat all other services as mentioned in this article.

If you experience issues, I recommend posting about the problem in detail in the relevant forum. In this case, the Management and Governance forum would be your go-to place.
