In general - "soft delete" is a term used when a delete operation is performed on a row of a table and you do not want that the row will be physically deleted. In this case, instead of physically deleting the row, you set a flag that indicates that the row has been deleted.

In Replicate, it is possible to implement "soft deletes" on a replicated table using 'operation_indicator' function used in a transformation rule defined on the requested table.

Details on 'operation_indicator' function can be found in the Replicate Users guide under:

Customizing tasks --> Using the Expression Builder --> Using elements in the Expresson Builder --> Functions --> Operations

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2022/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/tasks_expressOther.htm#Operation

Attached is an example for implementing "soft deletes" on a replicated table.
