Problem description:

Working with Kafka endpoint and getting in the Replicate task log the following error:

Qlik Replicate working with Kafka endpoint as target

Resolution

The error may be caused due to slow connectivity to the Kafka server. It can be solved by increasing the timeout value set to the internal parameter:

metadataTimeoutMS = 20000

To set it :

click on the Advanced tab,
open "Internal parameters"
type the name of the parameter metadataTimeoutMS (case sensitive) in the search box
add it to the parameter list and set its value to 20000 ( instead of the default value of 10000)
