Qlik Automate and Salesforce: Authentication and Scope overview

This article covers what Salesforce data Qlik Automate can access and how to set up the connection. Please also refer to the required connection updates needed from May 5th 2026.

Salesforce authentication uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol. Qlik Automate connects via a pre-configured Salesforce app with the following scopes:

Select a block and open the Connection tab in the right rail. Choose an existing connection, or click Connect your Salesforce.
Select your Salesforce environment (Live or Sandbox) and click Link Connection.
In the Enhanced_domain field, enter your Salesforce org's custom domain.
- Make sure to include the "my" suffix if your domain has it. By using this, the 'environment' input is ignored. Format: https://{enhanced_domain}.salesforce.com.
- If you're unsure of your domain, you can find it in your Salesforce org under Setup → My Domain.
A Salesforce login page will appear — enter your credentials.
If prompted, review the permissions consent screen and click Allow to complete the connection.
