    <description>&lt;P&gt;Attempting to generate a configuration for a QlikView Cloud deployment, results in the following error:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;unexpected error, please check QMS log for details&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In addition, the QlikView Management Service logs shows the exception:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt; Exception=System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;H4&gt;&lt;FONT color="#339966"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Environment&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/H4&gt;
&lt;UL class="lia-list-style-type-circle"&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;QlikView&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Qlik Cloud Analytics&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;H3&gt;&lt;FONT color="#339966"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Resolution&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/H3&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The following three actions need to be taken to resolve the issue:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Clean up the Management Service and Distribution Service folder:
&lt;OL class="lia-list-style-type-lower-alpha"&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Stop the &lt;STRONG&gt;QlikView Management Service&lt;/STRONG&gt; (QMS)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Rename the &lt;EM&gt;C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService&lt;/EM&gt; folder to&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService-old&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Start the QlikView Management Service&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Stop the QlikView Management Service&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Go to&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService-old&lt;/EM&gt; and copy the subfolder called &lt;STRONG&gt;QVPR&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Go to&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService&lt;/EM&gt; and replace the folder called &lt;STRONG&gt;QVPR&lt;/STRONG&gt; with the one from the old path&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;&lt;A href="https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/Subsystems/QMC/Content/QV_QMC/QMC_System_Licenses_QlikViewPublisher_QlikViewPublisherLicense.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Reapply the Publisher license to the QlikView Distribution Service&lt;/A&gt; (QDS) in the QlikView Management Console&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Apply a change to the QlikView Management Console configuration file:

&lt;LI&gt;Stop the &lt;STRONG&gt;QlikView Management Service&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Launch a Notepad with admin permissions&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Open the file&amp;nbsp;&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;QVManagementService.exe.config&lt;/FONT&gt; in &lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;EM&gt;C:\Program Files\QlikView\Management Service&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Change the line&amp;nbsp; &lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;&amp;lt;add key="UseFqdnForConfig" value="&lt;STRONG&gt;true&lt;/STRONG&gt;" /&amp;gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&amp;nbsp; to&amp;nbsp; &lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;&amp;lt;add key="UseFqdnForConfig" value="&lt;STRONG&gt;false&lt;/STRONG&gt;" /&amp;gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Restart the &lt;STRONG&gt;QlikView Management Service&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Delete the &lt;STRONG&gt;QvCloudCACertificate&lt;/STRONG&gt;:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;OL class="lia-list-style-type-lower-alpha"&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Stop the &lt;STRONG&gt;QlikView Management Service&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Press "Windows + R" and run: &lt;STRONG&gt;mmc.exe&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;File&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Add/Remove Snap-in&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Pick &lt;STRONG&gt;Certificates&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Add&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Computer Account&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Local Computer&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Finish&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;OK&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Expand &lt;STRONG&gt;Console Root&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Certificates&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;(Local Computer)&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Trusted Root Certification&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Authorities&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Certificates&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Right-click on &lt;STRONG&gt;QVCloudCA&lt;/STRONG&gt; and delete it&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Close the MMC&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Restart the QlikView Management Service one more time, and generate the configuration.&lt;/LI&gt;
