Qlik Sense fails to establish the connection using Qlik Athena connector (Qlik ODBC connector package) via proxy with the following ERROR message:

An error has been thrown from AWS Athena client. Athena Error No:99, ...Encountered network error when sending http request..

Resolution

By adding the following value in the " Advanced " parameter in the connection dialog of the Qlik ODBC Athena connector:
