The errors in the QlikView server could indicate a user that has access to high amount of documents (QVW's) in the access point is constantly opening the Access Point.

The QVS becomes irresponsive and usually auto recovers, QMS and QWS show communications issues with the QlikView Server.

The QVS Event logs show errors:

CQvXmlInterfaceRequestHandler - Catch: errId(-3). Ino(-1). Fno(91)

CQvXmlInterfaceRequestHandler - Catch: errId(-3). Ino(-1). Fno(142)

This issue was identified on an environment where a monitoring tool was enabled that mimic access of a user in the Access Point every minute ,with a user that has access to huge amount of files in the Access Point causing stress on the system.

Environment

QlikView all versions.

Resolution

Verify if there is any user with huge amount of files in the QVS that goes to the Access Point frequently (every minute) , for monitoring purposes is not recommended to use the Service Account or any account that might have access to large amount of documents in the Access Point.

Cause

The Access Point does a verification of the documents that the user has access to in the Access Point including validation on disk that could be very heavy disk activity causing the issue.

Internal Investigation ID:

QV-22905
