Selecting Views inside a Replicate task

I see the following question pop up from time to time:

"Why can i not select views in my Replicate task?"

There can be two reason as to why you are not seeing view selection in "table selection" inside of a Replicate task:

The source endpoint does not support views.
Here is a list of endpoints that support view selection:

Teradata (with an exception, see second point)
Amazon Redshift (with an exception, see second point)
PostgreSQL
MySQL
SAP Sybase ASE
IBM DB2 for LUW
IBM DB2 for z/OS
Oracle
Microsoft SQL Server
ODBC with CDC (with an exception, see second point)
ODBC
Task is no selected for Full load only mode, Replication of views is supported in Full Load Only tasks, except when replicating from the following sources:

Amazon Redshift
Teradata
ODBC with CDC
