The Qlik Sense Management Console does not allow access to configuration options. All options are greyed out.

When providing access to the QMC, a common pitfall is that only the Content Administrator or Deployment Administrator Rule is being edited.

See below:

The Qlik Sense Management Console may then not allow any access to its configuration settings and have them greyed out.

See figure below:

Resolution:

There are 3 rules that need to be edited, not only one.

ContentAdmin is the general rule which allows changes to be made.

ContentAdminQmcSections allows us to SEE the section in the QMC that we should be able to.

ContentAdminRulesAccess allows us to edit specific rules attached to streams, data connections, content libraries and extensions (not ALL!)

The last rule needs to be edited to start like this..
user.roles = "ContentAdmin" or user.group="content" (where "content" is the name of my group)

As with the editing of any default Rules we advise caution when performing changes!
