Beginning with version 2022.11 SP02, Qlik Replicate supports the Unity Catalog for Databricks endpoint. A feature flag needs to be enabled before the endpoint can be used.

Before enabling the feature flag, Qlik Replicate allows to browse databases under hive_metastore only. See fig 1.

Fig 1

To enable the Unity Catalog feature flag for the Databricks endpoint:

In your Qlik Replicate Web Console, go to your Databricks Target endpoint

Switch to the Advanced tab

Open More Options

Add the following feature name tag: UnityCatalog-DatabricksLHTarget

Enable the feature by switching it to On

Click OK so save the endpoint

Switch to the General tab

Locate the option Use Unity Catalog and enable it by checking the box. You can also disable it from here.

Hi Support,

One of my clients setup the settings exactly like this for his databricks delta endpoint. However upon searching for the catalog and database in the settings they are unable to find them. Typing the database and catalog name in also didn't work

Is there anything else to consider when setting this up maybe on the databricks side?

Kind regards,

Mohammed
