How to change the Qlik Replicate URL on a Windows host

The default URL used to access Qlik Replicate is: https://<machine-name>/attunityreplicate

If required, this URL can be changed to point to a domain different from the machine name.

Example: https://<domain-name>/attunityreplicate

This requires your network team to redirect the domain name to the Windows host running Qlik Replicate.

After this, Qlik Replicate is accessible with the new URL form outside its host. It will, however, fail when you attempt to access it from the original host itself while using the redirected URL. This is due to the Windows server Loopback check preventing the URL from resolving the server correctly.

We provide the additional steps required in this article.

How to disable the Authentication Loopback Check:

Navigate to Start > Run, enter regedit, and click Ok
Locate and select the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Right-click Lsa and point to New. Then click DWORD value.
Enter DisableLoopbackCheck, and then select Enter.
Right-click DisableLoopbackCheck, and then select Modify.
Type 1 in the Value data box and click Ok
Exit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
