QlikView 12.80: when using WebView with a high DPI setting, the page is shifted out of position

When using WebView with a high DPI setting, the webpage is shifted out of position. This happens both when viewing an app or opening a URL within the desktop client.
The issue occurs when the display scale of the monitor is set to 125% or higher.

Resolution

Workaround:

right-click on the qv.exe executable (default location: C:\Program Files\QlikView )
choose Properties
select the Compatibility tab and click on "Change high DPI settings"
change "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by" from "System (Enhanced)" to "Application" or "System"

Cause

We updated the technology behind Webview from the old Internet Explorer-based one to the new Edge-based one. This is however affected by a third-party bug on Microsoft's side that results in our product defect.
