Hi every body,
do you know when Talend Data QUality (Profiling) will support MS SQL SERVER 2012 ?
what is the difference between the connectors MS SQLSERVER & MS SQLSERVER 2005,2008 ? (if there are any)

Hi,
we have not worked on MS SQL SERVER 2012 yet, but the connection should work. Let us know if you have any problem.
About the difference between MS SQLSERVER & MS SQLSERVER 2005,2008, prefer MS SQLSERVER, as MS SQLSERVER 2005,2008 will be removed in the next version.

How to install Data Quality Portal with SQL Server 2012? Is there or will there be any support or is the only alt route MySQL?

Same question but with Data Stewardship... will I have to run two db's MS SQL Server for the data and MySQL for the Data Quality Portal and Data Stewardship on my windows 2012 server for this to work properly

The DQ portal cannot currently run with SQL Server.
Feel free to ask for this feature in our bug tracker https://jira.talendforge.org
Same for the Data Stewardship Console.

how to run DQ portal ? I can't seem to access via http://localhost:8580 but can access my TAC via port 8080

Update:
I've got it to run manually and can access DQP webportal, but can't get it to run via services.. even thought it says DQP is running.
Any advise? maybe on how to create a batch that works properly. Not sure why it works manually.

Have a look at https://help.talend.com/display/KB/How+to+set+up+HSQL+Db+as+a+Windows+Service
The DQ portal configuration database needs to be installed as a service as well.
This database location is under tdqp/apache-tomcat/database/

Since scorreia's reply of 16Jan2014 that "The DQ portal cannot currently run with SQL Server ... Same for the Data Stewardship Console" this has changed with respect to DSC. The default is still the H2 embedded database, however, you have the possibility to make the console work with other databases, e.g., MySQL through the Install Wizard and Oracle or MS SQL Server by modifying WEB-INF\classes\tdsc-database.properties. Therefore, DSC can *currently* run with MS SQL Server. Can tdq_portal currently run with MS SQL Server? I find no similar statement or file. If not, do we have plans? A client is asking.

Hi elio_bn,
So far, ms sql server 2014 is not list on supported DB version.
Please take a look at documents about: TalendHelpCenterupported+systems+databases+and+business+applications+by+Talend+components and TalendHelpCenterupported+databases+for+profiling+data.
From this error message, this is a login failure message.
Can you use user 'elie' to connect your MSSql DB through client without using Talend tool successfully?
